Evening Northside

Tour kids just finished a last night campfire/smores activity, indoors because of the rain, and are now headed to bed in their cabins.  Tonight's chaperones, Eileen, Dave, Carrie, Vlad and Winnie are with them and we expect a pretty mellow evening with energy levels being pretty well expended, after a very active 3 days.  We also had a day visit from Henry, who hung out with Sarah's group as they went through two day classes.

Today the kids had fun wall climbing and taking part in other activities, despite the rain falling pretty much all day.  I imagine it is raining there in A2 as it was a big front that moved through today.

It's been fun.  I think the kids are ready to come home and I expect you all will have some heavy sleepers this weekend:)

We will see you all tomorrow around 2:30, in the back parking lot.  Call Becky to confirm the exact time. We will call her from the road to giver that info around 1pm.

Dinner time.
Chicken and mashed potatoes.
Another fun swim after day classes.  Man, some of the kids went flying off the "blob", big time!  I will post some pics later of some circus like flying.
Tonight is field games, Dutch Auction (stupid human tricks) and night walk, followed by snack and bedtime.  Bethany is here with James and Guy to follow.  We want to thank the "pioneers", Greg, Aviv and Kara for breaking in the kids and making it easy for tonight's chaperones.

Good afternoon

Eggs and sausage for breakfast and then a bee line to the water for some canoeing.  Two of the four groups made it to the boats this morning and it was a spectacular morning for canoeing.  Sunny, cool day with no wind, made for some calm, relaxed lake exploration.  A lot of wildlife on the lake as we paddled around the lily pads.  Herons, fish, snakes and turtles were everywhere!  Good fun.
The campers are out on the great field playing GaGa while we wait for lunch.

Dinner Time Eberhart

Actually, it's Egg Drop Time.  The kids have constructed vehicles to keep their eggs from breaking when they drop it from the 2nd story of the cafeteria.  So far.....2 broken eggs!

Today was great!  After classes we went to the lake and swam for an hour.  The trampoline and the "blob" were great fun and the swimming cooled us all off!

Dinner was hamburgers and beans.  After the Egg Drop we are gonna play get to know your counselor.
Should be fun.  Greg and Aviv are here to man the boys cabin.  Cross your fingers for our 3 brave parent chaperones.
